You can choose to allow partial or not. There is an account default that is set at https://app.shiphero.com/dashboard/settings/app, it’s called Show partial orders in the app.
And the setting can be overwritten per order, it’s a flag called Allow Partial.
If allow partial is off items do not appear on the iPads until all items are available.
If allow partial is on, whatever is available shows on the iPad. When the other items come back in stock, they will show up on the iPads to ship.
If an order is on the iPad because it’s believed to be in stock but an item is not available to ship because it’s damaged or missing, the packer can put the order on hold which notifies customer service about the issue or can ship whatever is available and then put the missing item on hold which notifies customer service about the issue.
