Setting up Return Carriers

Being in e-commerce, returns happen.  Customers need to ship returns back to your warehouse for processing.  ShipHero supports returns and has a few options when adding a return carrier. 

Step 1

When in the ShipHero web dashboard, click on “My Account” and then click on “Settings”, then “Customer Returns”. On the right-hand side, select “Manage Which Shipping Methods are Allowed for Returns”.

Step 2

A new page called “Return Shipping Methods” will open.  Go to the upper right-hand corner and click “Add a Shipping Method”.

Step 3

A new box will appear where you can select which method you would like to use for return shipping. 

If you want the customer to be responsible for the shipping costs, simply select the “Generic” carrier and click save. This will provide a label for the customer to print out with the ship-to address and will include their shipping address as the return location. This will ensure that the package is returned to the correct location. 

If you choose to charge the customer for the return label shipping cost, you can add a Flat Fee to each order that is returned:
